We loved our stay at Adam’s listing. The home was clean, it felt cozy, it had all of the amenities that we needed on a quiet street that was close to the places we wanted to visit. The check in was easy and clear as well as the checkout and the price was perfect.
House was very clean and spacious. Furnitures are nice, simple, and modern. Host was responsive and very helpful whenever anything was needed.
The coffee pot wasn’t maintained very well so we weren’t able to use it. Otherwise, everything was clean and easy to find. We were very comfortable and will be happy to return to this house if we visit San Diego again!

We had a comfortable stay overall! The house was clean, quiet, and had great air conditioning, and the beds were very comfortable. We also really appreciated having a high chair and Pack ’n Play provided, which made traveling with a little one much easier. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with.
A couple things to note: the oven took quite a while to preheat and put off a lot of heat into the house while being used. We also felt that some of the listing photos didn’t quite reflect the current condition of the home, particularly the outdoor area, which looked a bit more worn and run down in person.
Overall, though, we had a comfortable stay and appreciated the cleanliness, amenities, and responsive host.
This location is close to several great local food spots, and the beds are very comfortable. Having access to laundry was a huge plus, especially when traveling with little kids. The host was very accommodating with our early check-in and communicated great throughout our stay. Any issues that came up were addressed quickly and efficiently. There were great TV viewing options, with plenty of choices to enjoy during our stay. Overall, we had a good experience.

We really enjoyed this location and we loved the space. The house and the yard were so nice to be able to use and we were so comfortable in each room!
It was a cool stay, but after we checked in the cleaning lady hung around for hours washing clothes in the garage. We woke up the next morning and the owners were there washing clothes again until 12pm or so. For that was paid I was hoping to have more privacy.
Stayed here with a group of 9 and it was perfect! The host Adam responded quickly if we had any questions! Highly recommend

We had a great stay at this Airbnb in La Mesa! The home was very clean, cozy, and felt welcoming from the moment we arrived. It was well-furnished and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout our trip.
One thing we especially appreciated was the privacy—the front of the property is surrounded by beautiful foliage and a gate, which made the space feel secluded and peaceful.
The only thing to keep in mind is that there is just one bathroom, so if you’re staying with a larger group, you’ll want to plan accordingly. Other than that, we had a wonderful experience and would recommend this place to others!
This is the second time we have stayed here while visiting San Diego. Th location is perfect. Can’t wait for our next trip.
Place was very beautiful, big enough for at least 8 people. Only thing is I am not quite satisfied with my stay. One of the bedroom doors kind of locks itself and its really hard to get opened since they aren’t regular door handles. Really scary especially when you’re inside. Half of the power outlets did not work specifically 1 in each bedroom, which made it difficult for us slightly. And the ice machine would not work, we finally figured it out but we were already leaving before we were able to enjoy it. Overall, these host were there to help us when needed, the place was beautiful very spacious and well put together.
Overall, the house is fine.
The entrance features has a beautiful bougainvillea plants, but they need to be trimmed, as they scratched us whenever we entered the property.
We did not like having to share the laundry room with a stranger staying in the small cottage out back; we didn't feel safe whenever a man walked into the laundry area, and it made us feel uneasy.
However, generally speaking, the house is comfortable for two people and a baby.
The kitchen could use more utensils—such as a blender, etc.

We had a very nice stay and would definitely stay there again when we go visit my mother in La Mesa as it was conveniently located to her. Thank you!
Negative: The yard could use some maintenance in the front to improve curb appeal and make it easier to locate the residence. Although it provides privacy, it also looks overgrown and belies the lovely interior of the home. The plants in the front conceal the home. But, once we figured out where the entrance was everything was lovely. We had a very nice stay.

My family of 6 fit extremely comfortably at Adam's bnb. The kids loved exploring the yard and we felt safe letting them do so. The bnb itself was clean, cozy, and came equipped with all the essentials. Adam was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed before we even arrived and gave us clear instructions and recommendations for the duration of our stay and when we checked out. We would definitely stay here again!
The house is a really beautiful house. I really enjoyed staying there.
Unfortunately, our visit to San Diego was due to a family member’s funeral. We needed to find a central location for everyone and everything. We wanted something safe, quiet, and comfortable, and this was the perfect spot.
It’s rare to find a place these days with 2 king beds. They also have sound machines in all of the rooms, which we always travel with. There is one parking spot for a small car, so unfortunately, our large SUV wouldn’t fit, but there was always plenty of open parking on the street right in front of the property. The home was very clean, had a lot of amenities, and contact with our host was quick and friendly. Thank you again for opening your home to my family and me during our time of need.

Comfy Cozy Clean
Positive: This home is in a great location! Quiet and cozy but within perfect proximity to access the city at large. I did not take any photos but the listing is accurately photographed. My family and I have now stayed here twice now and will continue to book at this location when available. There is a lovely front yard that is shaded by a big tree. Perfect for littles to run around. We did not use the fireplace or grill this time but that area is also very nice. The house is immaculately clean upon arrival and it is so nice to stay somewhere with a full kitchen to minimize eating out and have family meals together.
The 3 rooms are nicely sized with very comfortable beds. Great natural lighting throughout the house and blackout curtains that do the job if you don't want any sun coming in.
I can not express how much we love this place! It is truly a great place to get away too.
Negative: My ONLY dislike is the parking. It is street parking if you have more than one vehicle. The one spot you have is a nice size for parallel parking if the person staying in the other unit follows the parking protocol. However, this wouldn't stop us from staying here in the future or recommending it to others. It is just worth noting if you have a larger group.
Our stay at The Fountain House was the perfect start to our family vacation in Southern California. The home was clean, comfortable, and welcoming when we arrived. The location felt very safe, and it made a great home base for exploring the area. We felt at ease during our stay and appreciated how accurately the property was represented.

The home is cozy and nice. It made us feel like we were home. Cooked at the location and we appreciated that they had the spice rack. Having real plates and utensils is really good to have. The sofa bed in the living room allowed us to spend more family time together by having that location as a hang out place for the family. Having the laundry room was very nice since my new Marine son came home with some clothes that needs some TLC. Would stay here again! Thanks Adam for having us at your place.

This place was perfect for what we needed! A place to be close to our family who lives in La Mesa. There is a beautiful yard and the place is very clean! Walkable to El Cajon where we found breakfast and Mexican food.

I traveled from Puerto Rico with my two children to visit my son and his wife, who has been living in San Diego for seven years as a Marine, and this home made our family time incredibly special. From the moment we walked in, everything felt spotless, fresh, and thoughtfully put together.
The kitchen had everything we needed, and being able to cook and share meals together meant so much to us. The space is cozy, very clean, and located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood — exactly what we were hoping for.
We felt amazingly comfortable and completely at home.
I am truly grateful for this stay and would happily return.

Positive: This was a blessing find of a rental house! It fit all of our needs as a family. Adam, presumably the owner/manager of the property, was very helpful and easily reachable when we had a question. The house provided a quite space for use to staycay. We did not make use of the barbecue area but the front yard is a garden oasis that keeps you cool and shaded while the sun is out. The rooms were very comfortable and we slept great while staying there. I will definitely book again in the future!
Negative: My one issue was the parking. While there is one spot afforded to the guest by the point of entry it is hard to park when somwone is staying on the other side of the property and doesn't park mindfully. It is definitely a tight fit for larger sedans and suv/vans. All other parking is street parking out front. Which doesn't seem to be a problem with how quiet the neighborhood is.

We had a wonderful visit at the Fountain House. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen and dining area was spacious. We enjoyed sitting outside for our morning coffee. Quiet neighborhood.
Our host was extremely responsive and helped with local recommendations. The location itself was in between Legoland and the Zoo with close access to the airport. One bathroom was a challenge with 5 people. The curb appeal and floors could have been cleaned better.

My wife and I have stayed in many SD Airbnb properties, and this was among the best. The location is near SDSU but far enough away so the residents are families, not students. Street parking is ample. The house itself is clean and well maintained. There are washer-dryers in the garage, with detergent provided. The price was good for the two of us, even better if there are more of you (there are 3 rooms with large beds as well as couches for extra guests). If you do have 4+ guests, note there is one bathroom.
The owner is extremely organized and makes everything easy for your stay. If you arrive at night, like we did, the main road is dark and addresses are hard to see. The entrance to the home is actually right off an alley, so look for the alley if it’s dark, and you will recognize the home from the pictures provided by the host. Overall, a great stay!
La casa es bonita pero es sumamente pequeña, literal para 4 o 5 personas ya es mucho debido a sus áreas tan reducidas y hay que enfatizar que solo hay 1 baño, eso hace difícil la estadía.
No hay ningún producto para limpiar la casa haciéndola más difícil mantenerla limpia no hay absolutamente nada.
El papel de baño es del más barato que hay, se que es una exageración pero como pueden ser tan ahorrativos en esas cosas!!!
El anfitrión sumamente amable y la ubicación de la casa es excelente pero la colonia no es muy bonita, en lo personal no me gustó nada la calle ni la zona.

The house was extremely clean, lighting and comfortable. The shower was a little bit small but it was not a big problem. The neighborhood is very nice, quiet and easy to park. All the rooms have a nice and comfortable bed, the sheets and towels are nice too. Very recommended!!!

From the moment I walked in, it felt like home. The space appears to be newly renovated, fresh, and inviting—everything is clean and thoughtfully put together. I especially appreciated the crisp white sheets and fluffy towels, which made the stay feel like a boutique hotel experience.
The kitchen is fully functional and impressively stocked with cooking and eating utensils, basic spices, cooking oil, coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer. They even provided paper towels—it's the little touches that make a big difference. The bathroom had everything I needed; all I had to bring was my toothbrush and toothpaste.
Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for comfort, convenience, and a true home-away-from-home feel.
This house was in a very quiet and clean neighborhood. You cannot beat the price for a 15 minute drive into the downtown San Diego area. Great food close by. Very clean house with all the amenities you need for a family stay. Loved it!
Felt as comfortable as I do in my own home. 3 adults and 3 children were comfortably situated with thier own little space. Front yard gated and covered in foliage providing safety and privacy for kids. It was a peaceful stay and a location I would seek out if visiting again.

The place was centrally located near freeways and close to grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants. I’m a native San Diegan and was out for a family event. It was a nice place to have my family vs staying at a hotel.
We had a great stay! The layout of the home worked well for us, and even though it's not a huge place everything was a good use of space. The house was clean and the beds were comfy. TVs everywhere too! We also liked that the house was set back from the road, and there were lots of windows to open (and great ceiling fans). Quiet location and centrally located to explore San Diego. Adam was very prompt with communication and easy to communicate with. One note that I don't think I saw in the listing -- there is a studio space on the other side of the garage that is also rented out. The laundry is shared and has to be accessed by entering into this house's outside space, so we had random people entering our gate and walking around our outside area. It wasn't really a problem, just wasn't expected. And, now we want to rent both places for additional family/friends to join us on a future trip! We will definitely rent this place again, it met all of our needs and made for a great stay!
The house is really clean and just as described in the listing. The only minor downside is that the bathrooms are fairly small, and the shower areas are quite narrow. Jason was very responsive and kind throughout our stay, which made the experience even better. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and appreciate the great hospitality!

Our stay at Adam’s was wonderful, it’s close by to everything without being in the noisy city. We traveled with two toddlers so the amenities for them where just perfect.

Adam was great about communication and was very responsive. The amenities were great and we didn't want for anything during our stay. Requesting a travel crib and high chair was painless. Our check-out responsibilities were minimal.

This home is beautifully decorated, clean and very functional. It is sunny and bright and the drapes can be closed, which we liked. The beds and linens were super comfortable. The trees and fountains surrounding the property are still beautiful in the Fall. It is a peaceful and safe neighborhood where we were able to take nice walks. The location is great too with easy freeway access to all San Diego attractions and beaches. We were close to the Grossmont Center with a Macy's, Target, See's Candy and movie theater as well as a Walmart and Walmart Neighborhood store too.

We AirBnBed Adams place for three days. Although the place was quite clean and same as pictures, I felt there were few things need improvements especially for the price paid.
Good:
All the rooms were clean with clean sheets and blankets.
All the rooms has TVs pre logged in with Netflix and Disney etc which comes in very handy if you have kids.
Bad:
Although the place is equipped with everything but everything is so basic. We did not like the coffee machine(and the mediocre Costco Kirkland coffee) Cleaning the coffee filter is very messy.
Bathroom shower water pressure is extremely low and had spiders lingering arnd the ceiling. I mentioned to Adam and he did respond but acted like I am the first one complaining about it(there are other reviewers who have mentioned the same).
Ugly:
The checkin process. The entry is very dark. There are two double doors one of which had the lock(no clear instructions on which door had the lock). Took us 30 mins to get in, very unpleasant exper
Positive: Beds were all very comfortable. House was clean, and equipped with everything we needed for our 5 night stay.
Negative: Exterior of the home, specifically the yard, needs work. The living room furniture (sectional) was not very comfortable.

Negative: Only one important thing here: We did not like the mattress's in all 3 rooms!! We did not sleep well. They were hard. I am disabled & elderly. I was not able to turn over easily. My son also mentioned about his mattress. He tried another bed and had same results. All not comfortable.

This is a great place to stay! Check-in and check-out were both smooth and easy. However, I didn’t love the smell when we first walked in—it smelled like smoke to me, though my family described it more as a bit dusty. Adding some air fresheners could help with this. On the bright side, the cleanliness really stood out. The bed sheets and towels were spotless, and the beds were just as clean and comfortable as you'd expect from a 5-star hotel.
One issue I had was the low water pressure, and the shower felt a bit cramped due to the shelf placement—I had to be careful not to bump my elbow.
On a positive note, each room had its own TV, which was a nice touch. Just a heads-up: while the listing mentions access to all streaming services, you’ll need to reach out to Adam for the Netflix login (he was quick to respond). Two rooms were still logged into previous guests' Netflix accounts, so it seems like it's just a Netflix issue.
Overall, I would recommend this place to others!

Cute little older home in a quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable beds and nice outdoor space. There were only 2 of us and we did not spend much time at the house but would not hesitate to stay again if in the area.
Adam’s place was a great place to stay with our family as the 3 bedrooms gave us privacy. If you are ok sharing 1 bathroom you’ll have a great stay.
The kitchen is fully equipped to cook meals, plus having grill and fire pit our family had a great time. Laundry helped a lot having a little one, and they have cleaning supplies handy so I was able to clean the floors frequently.
Adam is very responsive, the house is very confortable and location is great to visit San Diego, little far for Legoland but didn’t affect us that much.

One of the bedroom doors wouldn’t stop sliding, which got a little annoying but overall the stay was well worth it.

We were a little scared to sit outside & do much out there due to the rules that came with the house. But much of our time was spent elsewhere to make up for family time outdoors.

The air conditioning and fans worked very well. We loved relaxing in the yard and enjoying the beautiful garden. The shade of the beautiful tree and the butterflies were lovely. The laundry room, games and box of teas were appreciated and so was the peaceful neighborhood it is located in.

Great family vacation. The location was about 15-20 minutes from all the places we wanted to go with the kids (sea world, padres game, seaport village). Home was very clean, and family friendly (we have a toddler and twin 19 month olds). We would stay again!
Adam is one of my absolute favorite Air BnB hosts. He is very responsive, no matter what it is. The house has pretty much everything you need. It is less than a 15-minute drive from Grossmont Center - with a Mexican restaurant, Walmart, and Target. The front of the property is through the alley, which is fine if you have a rental. We took a Lyft to and from the property and just walked to the edge of the alley to keep it free of vehicles. I’m bummed I didn’t get to use the fire pit. I’m sure someone else will enjoy this very serene place.

I do not advise this house to have a lot of rules, it is possible, it is not necessary. They make you clean the house after yourself when you leave. Dish washer didnt work but they are say wash the dishes when we leave.
Very happy with the location was close to everything. The place was lovely and had everything we needed for our stay.
The house was amazing, clean, spacious, it has everything you need in a house for a family trip. Great location. We had a wonderful time in La Mesa and if you have a car it only takes 15 min drive to get to downtown San Diego. We enjoyed the stay and I highly recommend this place to stay. I was thankful we were able to stay in such a great home, while we explored San Diego. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was a great place to make a few meals. I would highly recommend staying at this home.
We loved staying at Adam’s beautiful home! The location was perfect - within reasonable distance of the airport, San Diego Zoo, San Diego State University, etc. So many great eateries and coffee shops just minutes away. Adam was so responsive and proactive. We appreciate it so much! Thanks for making our stay with our two toddlers a great one!
Adam was wonderful. He was quick and helpful to answer all my questions. I really could not have asked for him to have been any more helpful. I will definately use him again and we loved the quiet house and neighborhood.
The house was in a great location and very comfortable. Beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets! The family room is a great gathering place which we enjoyed every night! Great experience.

Adam was a A++++ Host, my family and I had a great stay. His home provided everything and a lot of towels, the washer and dryer was definitely a plus. He was very responsive, no issues whatsoever, the parking space was accessible and right next to the house which made it convenient for me. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
There were three of us who stayed at Adam's for three nights.
The home is located in a beautiful neighborhood and the home itself was as described inside and out.
There's designated parking in the back (although one night a vehicle was parked there and moved after a couple of hours). There's also plenty of street parking.
Check-in and check-out was easy and seamless.
The home was extremely clean and well-kept. It has all of the linens, bedding, and supplies needed. Only one side of the stove burners worked, but it wasn't a huge deal as we weren't doing a lot of cooking.
During our stay, the furnace broke which left the home extremely cold at night. We messaged Adam and he showed up within 30 mins with two large space heaters. Although he wasn't able to get the furnace fixed in the time we were there, he was very responsive and apologetic for the inconvenience.
Overall, we would stay at Adam's again. He was a fantastic host with great communication. The home itself is wonderful
This was the first time we ever rented an air bnb. So glad we chose this property. Adam was a wonderful host and very quick to respond to our questions.
The home is in a very quiet neighborhood and has ample parking. Netflix on every smart television. The beds are very comfortable and slightly firm which was great on my back. Ceiling fans and central cooling/heating. To get in the property requires a passcode or using the app to unlock the door which I found pretty cool.
I loved that the area is not in San Diego (La mesa), but so close to everything it doesn’t matter. A quick 20 min ride and you’re back in the middle of San Diego, but when you want peace and quiet you head back to the property. Also, about 25 mins from the USA/mexcian border where we were able to park and walk into Mexico for some good food/drinks.

Adam’s place was fantastic, super clean, perfect size, very well organized. Just what we need it. Super comfortable beds and rooms, the kitchen had everything we need it, we had an excellent time. We definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling to San Diego.

This place was absolutely perfect! Its landscaping gives you a relaxing feel, where you just want to sit in the sun and drink your coffee. It has space for you to gather for group meals or play games in the living room while also providing space in each room to relax and have some solo downtime. This house is close to so many things, the airport, great restaurants, shopping and more. 100% recommend, and would definitely stay again. Thank you Adam for being a great host!
Absolutely delighted with our recent stay in La Mesa, California! The accommodations were top-notch, the host was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location provided easy access to local attractions. A definite 5-star experience!
Great easy place to find and close to everything!
Adam was constantly in communication with us checking that everything was OK. The house is very nicely decorated and he has thought of everything - from spices and olive oil to shampoo and conditioner. I highly recommend the Fountain Hose and Adam as a host!
My family and I stayed here for six nights. It was exactly what we needed: A house big enough for all five of us that was centrally located. The home was clean and well appointed, the neighborhood was quiet, and the beds were comfortable. We would stay here again.
Adam was very responsive. We needed to access the laundry room but the door lock was out of batteries. Adam came and changed out the batteries within 2 hours of being contacted.
Adam’s place was very clean and would recommend to anyone traveling to San Diego. It was clean. Almost all the touristy spots ( Sea world, Zoo, Italy) are within 25 mins distance from this place. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you Adam for hosting us.

Adam's was extremely helpful and quick to respond and very hospitable. home looks as described and as in the pictures. back and front yard are very peaceful and perfect a family cookout. home was nicely stocked, from coffee, spices, silverware, plate ware, towels and seating. Felt very much at home, I would recommend this place to anyone.

we had a lovely stay here. the location in SD was convenient and the house was perfect for our family. the kitchen had everything you need to cook (minus salt, but I travel with that just in case!). My only comment would be is that the comforter covers are just two sheets wrapped around the comforter, instead of a real duvet cover. that just kinda grosses me out as the sheets fall away quite quickly and then you're left touching a comforter everyone else uses, and who would have had the same thing happen. a duvet cover is cleaner and much more comfortable. other than that, the space is very comfortable and it has a sweet little front and back yard.
Adam’s house was clean and comfortable for the weekend - exactly what we needed. Adam was clear with communication and the house was easy to find / easy to access.

I rented Adams home for my sisters bridal shower outing and we all felt very comfortable and satisfied with our stay! The home was very clean and we all felt immediately at home. The beds were all very clean and comfortable. The house even had hotel like sheets and pillows. I definitely recommend!

The bed was comfortable. I loved that all the room had their own individual TV plenty of storage to put our stuffs away. The kitchen was also very spacious was able to navigate through it really nice. The place was very nice and clean all around. Adam was very good and clear at communicating. Overall we had a great stay and will book this location again in the future.
Definitely felt like home during our stay. Equipped with everything we need. Home is modern, and clean just like in the photos. Beds were comfortable. Quiet neighborhood. We had no issues with noise level after hours. Check in/check out process was very easy. Our host Adam was very welcoming and easy to talk to.
Good stay
Great location for anything you are looking to do. Downtown, beaches, zoo, Balboa Park, all very close. We were four adults and two small children, the space was perfect. Adam had a nice and clean pack-n-play and high chair available which was very helpful. Is a very quiet area, even the trash trucks on Monday wait until the afternoon to come, LOL. Kitchen was fully stocked, great central air and Roku TV's in every room with premium service available at no charge. We would definitely stay again!

We stayed here for an event at SDSU, the house was great and exactly as described. It was very convenient to get the the university and was in great condition!
